Leona Kaye (Tordoff) Hoover, 75, of Eldora, passed away on Dec. 1, 2022 suddenly at her home.

A visitation was held from 10 a.m. to noon Dec. 14 a service followed at Creps-Abels Funeral Home in Eldora, Iowa. A graveside service and burial was held after the service at Eastlawn Cemetery, in Eldora. The family would like to invite everyone to join in a Celebration of Life from 11 to 3 p.m., Saturday Dec. 17, at Dorothy’s Senior Center in Eldora, Iowa.

Victor L. Schwarck, 97, of Marshalltown, Iowa, formerly of rural Grundy County, passed away on Thursday, Dec. 8, 2022 at Bickford of Marshalltown under the care of Iowa River Hospice.

Elmer Lee Wilson, 74, formerly of Eldora, passed away on Dec. 9, 2022, at the Iowa Veteran’s Home while under the care of Iowa River Hospice, after a battle with dementia. Visitation will be held from 5 until 7 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 18, at the Abels Funeral and Cremation Service, Creps Chapel, in Eldora. A funeral service will be held at noon on Monday, Dec. 19, at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Eastlawn Memory Gardens in Eldora. Memorials may be directed to the family.

Services for Wilma Krabbe will be 11 a.m. Friday, Dec. 16, 2022, at Linn’s Funeral Home 1521 Washington Avenue, Iowa Falls. Visitation will be one hour prior to services. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 17, at the Our Savior's Lutheran Church, Radcliffe, Iowa. Burial will take place in the Radcliffe Cemetery. Cecil F Rooks “Ike”

Cecil F Rooks “Ike” was born in Polk City, Iowa, to Ruby and Cecil Rooks on Sept. 22, 1946, passed away on Dec. 11, 2022 at the Israel Family Hospice House in Ames, Iowa. Ike grew up in Eldora; he was active in 4-H and Boy Scouts. When he was young, Ike developed a love for the great outdoors; he loved fishing and hunting. After school time was spent working on the Rooks farm or at Rooks Implement. He graduated from Eldora High School in 1964. He attended Ellsworth College. For two summers Ike worked for the California Forestry Department as a firefighter.
