Ruth Butler, age 81, of Eldora, Iowa, passed away on Thursday, March 30, 2023, at the Israel Family Hospice House in Ames, Iowa. Visitation was held from 5 - 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, April 5, in the St. Paul Lutheran Church basement. Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, April 6, at the St. Paul Lutheran Church in Eldora with burial in the Eldora Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to the family for a memorial fund to be established. The Boeke Funeral Home of Hubbard is in charge of arrangements.

Rodney Ralph Rose

Rodney Ralph Rose, 67, of San Diego, Calif., formerly of Eldora passed away Friday, March 23, 2023 after a battle with cancer. No services are immediately planned. He requested that his body be donated to the University of California. The family will notify loved ones in the future when a service is scheduled.

Rodney was born and raised on a farm near Eldora in Hardin County. He graduated from Eldora High School in 1974.

He worked at United Suppliers for a time before relocating to Colorado and then moving to California and working for Xerox.

Mary Jane Lloyd

Mary Jane Lloyd, 66, of Bradenton, Fla., formerly of Eldora, Iowa, passed away Thursday, March 23, 2023 with her loving family by her side.

Mary Jane was born and raised on a rural farm in Hardin County, near Eldora. She graduated from Eldora High School in 1974. Soon after, she moved to Bradenton, Florida and worked at Manatee Memorial Hospital for over 40 years. She retired from Manatee Memorial Hospital in April 2021.

Neale Trout, 86, of Eldora, passed away Friday, Jan. 20, 2023 at Oakview in Conrad. He will be laid to rest with a private family graveside inurnment at the Eastlawn Memory Gardens. Counsell Woodley Funeral Home and Cremation Services of Iowa Falls is caring for Neale and his family.

Patricia Stansbury, 88, of Union, passed away Wednesday, March 15, 2023 at Good Samaritan in Manson. Memorial services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, March 22, 2023 at the Union Church of Christ. Visitation will be from 9:30 a.m. until service time on Wednesday, March 22 at the church. Counsell Woodley Funeral Home and Cremation Services of Iowa Falls is caring for Patricia and her family.

Gene Davis, age 94, formerly of Mason City, Iowa passed away on Thursday, March 16, 2023 at the Israel Hospice House in Ames. Visitation will be held from 9:30 a.m. - 10:30 a.m. Friday, March 24, at the Stavanger Lutheran Church, Garden City, Iowa. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, March 24th, at the Stavanger Lutheran Church, Garden City, Iowa. Burial will take place in the Memorial Park Cemetery in Mason City. Memorials may be given to the Stavanger Lutheran Church. Boeke Funeral Home of Radcliffe is caring for Gene and her family.

Dewaine Zimmerman, age 90, of Ellsworth, Iowa passed away on Wednesday, March 15, 2023 at his home with his family by his side. Visitation will be held from 5 – 8 p.m. Monday, March 20th, at the Boeke Funeral Home, 201 E Minnie, Radcliffe, Iowa. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, March 21st, at the Ellsworth United Methodist Church, 1550 Dewitt St, Ellsworth, Iowa. Burial will take place in the Sheppard Cemetery rural Union, Iowa. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to the Ellsworth United Methodist Church, 1550 Dewitt St, Ellsworth, Iowa, 50075.

He will be laid to rest next to his wife, Verdeen, at the Union Cemetery in Iowa Falls. Visitation will be from 9:30 a.m. until service time on Monday, March 13 at the church.
