June is National Fresh Fruit and Vegetable Month.
Earlier this afternoon I just finished planting our garden. It will be interesting to see how it turns
out as this is the first summer we’ve lived here. With the help of boys one through five, we
planted sunflowers, sweet corn, green beans, peas, pumpkins, summer squash, watermelon,
two types of peppers and 3 types of tomatoes.Oh, and we also planted marigolds along three
sides of the garden as they are supposed to deter animals. Three tom turkeys made their way
