100th anniversary of big storm

HARDIN COUNTY – A couple of weeks ago the sirens went off in Eldora and amateur storm chasers captured a funnel cloud near New Providence. There were also numerous sightings near Steamboat Rock. No confirmed touchdowns.

Almost exactly one hundred years earlier a whole front of tornados left nothing to doubt. It made a shambles of the midsection of Hardin County.(Read the rest in the Friday Index)
