Voting booths open again

When voters open the cover on the ballot for June 5’s primary election they might be forgiven for thinking they’d opened the phone book instead There is no shortage of hopefuls on the Democratic, Republican and Libertarian Party lists.

Right here locally the field is a little less clogged. Lance Granzow and Renee´ McClellan are running for reelection to their board of supervisor posts as Republicans, while Nick Schutt is the lone Democrat seeking a seat on the board and bound for the November ballots. There will be two open seats on the board decided in that general election.

Elsewhere around the courthouse, Machel Eichmeier is seeking reelection as county treasurer running on the Republican side as an incumbent, but facing an initial primary challenge from Tina Schlemme.
