Sharon Ann Teske

On Tuesday, July 21, 2020, Sharon Ann Teske of Bluffton, S.C. passed away after a very short battle with cancer. She was born on Feb. 4, 1953, in Eldora, Iowa, to Roy and Harriett Ryan.

Sharon retired as a government employee after working as the face and front office manager for the base hospitals’ family care and pediatrics clinics. As a dedicated wife to her cherished husband, Randy, together they have three children. She treasured her children and embraced every moment with them. She especially loved her role as GRAMZ while playing and caring for all the grandchildren. Love and kindness radiated from this woman as she could make friends anywhere and light up a room!

Sharon and Randy would have been married 49 years on Aug. 15, 2020. Their married adventure began in 1971 and was filled with several worldly locations and unique experiences from Randy’s Air Force career. Locations included: Tachikawa Air Base, Japan; Homestead AFB, Fla.; Anderson AFB, Guam; Offutt AFB, Neb.; Elmendorf AFB, Alaska; Pentagon, Washington D.C.; Hickam AFB, Hawaii; Scott AFB, Ill.; Seven Lakes, N.C. and finally Bluffton, S.C.

Sharon is survived by her husband Randy of Bluffton, S.C., originally from Eldora, Iowa, and their beloved cocker spaniel, Charlie. Her children, Chad Teske (son) and his wife Amy Teske of Papillion, Neb., with their children, Erin (18) and Hailey (12). Amy Qualls (daughter) and her husband Brad Qualls of Nokesville, Va., with their children, Jordan (17), Ryan (13) and Brady (6). Bonnie Goethals (daughter) and her husband Andy Goethals of Mooresville, N.C. with their children, Reston (12), Reagan (10), Ryder (7) and River (4). Todd Ryan (brother) of Youngsville, N.C. and Rod Ryan (brother) of Eldora, Iowa.

Sharon’s Celebration of Life Service will be from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. on Friday, July 24 at Cavin-Cook Funeral Home Chapel in Mooresville, N.C. Attendees may choose to wear a mask or not wear a mask. Her final resting place will be Arlington National Cemetery, Washington D.C. at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in her honor to St. Mark’s Lutheran Church, 454 Fieldstone Road, Mooresville, N.C. 28115 or Cancer Research.
