Marjorie Krause
Marjorie “Marge” Katherine (Fuller) Krause, 91 of Iowa Falls, died peacefully at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics March 20, 2025, following surgery.
Visitation was set from 4 to 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, March 25 at the Alden United Methodist Church, 1512 Hardin St, Alden, IA 50006 with funeral services at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, March 26 at the Alden United Methodist Church in Alden with burial in the Alden Cemetery.

The Boeke Funeral Home of Radcliffe is in charge of arrangements. Marge, the youngest child and only daughter of Paul and Ruth (Ball) Fuller was born at home on the Rathbone Homestead, near Owasa Nov. 25, 1933. Marge attended school in Owasa, graduating in 1951. While in school she participated in basketball and was a cheerleader. After graduating from high school, she went on to attend Iowa State Teachers’ College and Ellsworth Junior College, graduating in 1953 and went on to teach in Alden for three years.
While attending Ellsworth Junior College, she was introduced to John Krause. Marge and John were united in marriage May 11, 1957 in Fort Dodge, Iowa. To this union a daughter, Diane Katherine, and a son, Brian John were born.
The family lived south of Alden on a farm until 1960 when they relocated to a farm north of Radcliffe. Marge taught for nine years in Radcliffe and later taught for 25 years at Alden Community Schools. Marge continued her education by taking Saturday and evening courses while teaching full-time. She graduated with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Education from Drake University in 1967. The family later moved to the home farm on D-41, west of Buckeye. John and Marge lived on the farm until 1990 when they moved to Iowa Falls. Marge retired from teaching after 38 years and continued to substitute teaching for another 10 years.
Marge was confirmed in the Owasa United Methodist Church and attended the United Methodist Church in Radcliffe and was a current member of the Alden United Methodist Church.
Marge enjoyed being involved in attending the activities of her grandchildren and more recently, her great grandchildren. She loved shopping, gardening, going out for lunch with friends and watching sports, especially basketball. This time of year, she spent watching many NCAA men’s and women’s games. Her favorite teams were the Iowa Hawkeye Women and the Indiana Fever. She was a member of the Retired Teachers Association and enjoyed attending monthly luncheons.
Marge is survived by her children, Diane Meneough of Nevada and Brian (Christy) Krause of Alden; her grandchildren, Nathaniel (Meghan) Krause of Ankeny, Ben (Jes) Krause of Radcliffe and Whitney (Brad) Heinrich of Wellsburg; her three great grandchildren Lena and Makia Heinrich and Mabel Krause; her sisters-in-law Kay Krause of Seward, Nebraska and Carolyn Fuller of St Louis, Missouri; and many nieces and nephews.
Marge was preceded in death by her husband, John; parents, Paul and Ruth Fuller; mother and father-in-law, William and Edna Krause; son-in-law, Mick Meneough; brothers, Howard, Earl and Lowell Fuller; sisters-in-law, Mildred and Lillian Fuller, Esther and Dixie Krause and Jean Hurst; and brothers-in-law Bill, Wally and Bob Krause and Jim Hurst.
