Evelyn Lange

Evelyn Lange, age 95, formerly of Eldora, IA, passed away on Friday, August 20, 2021 at the Heritage Care Center in Iowa Falls, IA. The family will receive friends on Monday evening, August 23, from 6:00 - 8:00 PM at the Boeke Funeral Home in Hubbard, IA. Funeral service will be held at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Eldora, IA, on August 24, at 10:30 am. Burial will follow in the East Lawn Memorial Garden in Eldora. Evelyn Esther (Kosanke) Lange was born November 7,1925 in Eldora, Iowa to Ernest & Emma (Garbe) Kosanke.

She attended Norwood Country School west of Eldora up until the 8th grade and continued her education graduating from Eldora High School in 1943. After graduation, she lived in Marshalltown and was employed by an insurance company.

On April 15, 1950, she was united in marriage to Clarence T. Lange at the Salem Evangelical Church in Hubbard. To this union two daughter were born.

Evelyn had been employed by Cameron Dickenson and OSE Law Firm, Dunn Law Firm, ASCS, Dayco, Ramco, Dr. Hefty and Dr. Neuerbug.

Evelyn was a member of the St. Paul Lutheran Church, American Legion Auxiliary, Hardin County Extension Council, Ladies Aid, Health Care Advocate for the Eldora and Hubbard Nursing Homes, Rough Woods Cemetery Association, Red Hat Society and Dorothy’s Senior Center.

Evelyn found immense joy spending time in her kitchen baking and preparing Holiday meals for family. We will forever remember and cherish gathering at her table and enjoying time together. Her grandchildren’s’ fondest memories include, dinner rolls, spills, chocolate crinkle cookies and claiming the recliner post meals.

Evelyn is survived by her two daughters Sheila (Roger) Granner of Hubbard, Iowa and Barbara (Dave) Raska of Radcliffe, Iowa; four grandchildren Lindsay (Jon) Lancaster, Megan (Kevin) Warburton, Jordan (Lindsay) Below and Logan (Amy) Below; five great-grandchildren Brady and Jake Lancaster, Avrie and Kilee Warburton and Bennett Below; sister-in-law Lavonne Anderson; six step-grandchildren Tim (Renea) Raska, Ron (Mechelle) Raska, Jim Raska, Chuck (Sarah) Raska, Allen (Jenny) Raska and Diana (Rob) Goecke; many step-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Clarence and sister Hazel (Eugene) Kulow.
