Striving for a shimmering future

HARDIN COUNTY – The economic future of Hardin County has been looking brighter these last six months since it gained the expertise of Angela De La Riva. As the county’s first full-time development director, De La Riva has been working hard on projects to improve the lives of the citizens. The most recent focus has been a strategic planning effort. Close to 150 surveys were sent out to local leaders including city clerks, and city council members all around the county.  The goal has been to gather as much input as possible on what everyone would like to see happening in Hardin County. Over the next few weeks planning sessions will take place with the development committee, moderators, and previous organizers to come up with a five-year plan.
