South Hardin boys bury BCLUW

ELDORA- Four cagers in double figures fueled the South Hardin boys’ basketball team to a lopsided 91-52 victory over BCLUW here Friday during the start of the North Iowa Cedar League West Conference campaign.

Senior post Cade Spieker led the Tigers’ scoring spree with a game-high 25 points while teammates in double digits were Kaleb Roling 19, Garrison Tripp 15 and Cauy Teske 13.

“I challenged Cade before the game to be the best post in the conference and tonight he answered. He did a good job of being active and was the difference in the first half for us,” stated South Hardin coach Nathan Gevelinger.

Spieker netted 21 first half points and the Tigers opened a 48-29 halftime advantage behind 23 points in the first quarter and 25 in the second.

South Hardin’s full court press produced 37 field goals with seven three-pointers. Teske sank three of the treys with one each for four mates.
