Ribbon cut on trail

HARDIN COUNTY – They are already celebrating in Steamboat Rock.

There is a long way to go before the Iowa River (overland) Trail is what its promises to be, but a start was unmistakable by the end of the construction season last fall.

Trail promoters have set Saturday, May 19 at 11 a.m. for a send off on the next summer’s efforts, with a ribbon cutting spotlighting the initial stretch of the trail and the completed work on the river bridge on the town’s west side. (Read the rest in the Tuesday Ledger)
