Shortage of instruments for school bands.

Success has its burdens.

Last week, as the Eldora- New Providence and Hubbard- Radcliffe school districts held another of their quarterly joint meetings, they heard about the success.

The South Hardin combined district’s band project has brought home awards which rank it among the best in the Midwest.

Winning divisionals, regionals and more.

That has encouraged large numbers of youngsters t o crowd into the music rooms, starting in fifth grade and continuing through middle and high school.

But the thing about band is you need the equipment, and believe it or not, the kids are starting to outnumber the inventory of many band essentials.
