The matrix stirrs controversy
ELDORA- At long last, the Hardin County Board of Supervisors unanimously passed a resolution urging state legislators to take another look at the Department of Natural Resources’ Master Matrix—the scoring system used to approve or deny Concentrated Animal Feeding Operation (CAFO) permits—but not before one of the local activists who had advocated for reform blasted the board over its perceived weakness on water quality improvement at Wednesday’s meeting.
