Les Penick Relays crown to Comets

 

CONRAD- Running with an extra hop in their step on the home oval the BCLUW boys’ track & field team were crowned champions of the Les Penick Comet Relays here Thursday.

BCLUW raced past the 11-team field, scoring 141 points for the team title with Aplington-Parkersburg second at 103.

The Comets captured eight of the 19 gold medals to go with four seconds and one third.

The South Hardin boys generated 59 points to finish fourth and AGWSR scored 25 for seventh.

Seniors Jack Garber, Neifer Ralston and Caleb Silver led the BCLUW charge. Garber garnered four first placings while Ralston and Silver had a hand in two each.
