Harvest stalls

HARDIN COUNTY – There is good news and bad news about the 2018 harvest.

The good news is that yields so far have been winners.

In early October – around Hardin County –  reports are routinely coming in of corn at 200 and more bushel per acre. Beans at 55.

The bad news, which is news to no one, is that the harvest has been short circuited by an stubborn wet season that’s made it all but impossible to get into fields.(Read it all in the Friday Index)
