Franklin William Thies, 81, of Iowa Falls, IA passed away Saturday, Dec. 9, 2017 at the Mary Greeley Medical Center in Ames. IA. A celebration of life will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 30, 2017 at the St. Peter’s United Church of Christ, 496 Raven Ave., Geneva, IA. In lieu of flowers the family is requesting memorials be sent to: Franklin Thies Memorial; ℅ Linn’s Funeral Home, 1521 Washington Ave., Iowa Falls, IA 50126. Memorial proceeds will be used to set up a scholarship for those interested in agriculture, to continue his love for the farm. The Linn’s Funeral Home in Iowa Falls is helping the family with arrangements.
