Farewell after fourteen years

Eldora-New Providence  Fourteen years ago, a young mother ran for a position on the Eldora-New Providence School Board. Her kids were just starting school in the district, and she was a high school English and gifted teacher in Iowa Falls. She won the election, and has served ever since, up until now. This woman is Jolene Teske.   

“I am an educator, so obviously school is very important to me,” said Teske of her choice to run all those years ago. She foresaw that there was going to be some type of whole grade-sharing with Hubbard-Radcliffe in the future, and she wanted to have an educator’s perspective on the board when that happened.  Teske joined the board, and close to a month later a letter was received from Hubbard.
