Cougars win in five

GREENE- A come-from-behind five-set victory was captured by the AGWSR volleyball team, beating North Butler 16-25, 20-25, 25-23, 25-19, 15-7 here Thursday.

The never-say-die Cougars rallied for a five-set win for the second time this season, earlier charging past South Hardin after falling behind 2-0.

A potent hitting attack powered AGWSR (5-7), slamming 50 kills behind the threesome of Brynn Smith, Alyssa Hames and Makenna Kuper. Smith had 20 kills on 48-of-58 hitting followed by Hames 12 and Kuper 10. Taylor Sperfslage added six kills and Natalie Gerstein tallied 40 assists.
