Cougars' Lasbrook going back to state


DENVER- A third state meet berth in as many tries was earned by Trey Lashbrook of the AGWSR wrestling team during a Class 1A district meet here Saturday.

Lashbrook advanced to the state show as district champion at 120-pounds, posting a pair of hard-fought wins over 40-plus win opponents.

Lashbrook, 29-6 in wins and losses, defeated Jack Ramaker (40-12) of Lake Mills in the semifinals by a 5-2 count, and in the championship match, won 4-2 in overtime over Bryce McDonough of Central Springs. McDonough is listed No. 6 and 45-4.
