Cougar wrestlers drop duals

STATE CENTER- The shorthanded AGWSR wrestling team started the season dropping North Iowa Cedar League Conference decisions to West Marshall and East Marshall/GMG here Thursday.

The Cougars lost by counts of 48-27 to the host Trojans and then 54-22 to the Mustangs.

AGWSR fielded a lineup of eight wrestlers and four finished 2-0 – Zach Johnson at 113-pounds, state-ranked Trey Lashbrook at 120, Brody Roder at 152 and Jacob Haley at 182. Ali Gerbracht at 106-pounds earned the team’s nine win of the night.
