AGWSR's Barrick NICL West MVP

ELDORA- An overpowering performance in the pitching circle earned Taryan Barrick of AGWSR the Outstanding Player of the Year as the North Iowa Cedar League West Conference Softball honors were released recently.

Barrick led the Cougars to the conference crown with sparkling stats. The junior finished with an 11-1 win-loss record in the 12 league games with an impressive 0.95 earned run average and amazing 164 strikeouts. She also had league bests, allowing 27 base hits, 12 runs and 10 earned runs.

Barrick’s strikeout total was an average of over 13 per game in league play and included a career-high 19 in a 1-0 victory over East Marshall to decide the conference champ.
