AGWSR cagers drop games to WM
STATE CENTER- Defensive-minded West Marshall took two from the AGWSR basketball teams here Tuesday during North Iowa Cedar League West Conference play.
The host Trojans limited the Cougar cagers to season-low outputs, winning the girls, 35-25 and the boys, 53-40.
AGWSR GIRLS SWEPT
The AGWSR girls tumbled a second time to West Marshall with the 10 point loss coming after a 45-38 setback back in late November.
West Marshall limited the Cougars to single figures all four quarters, including two points in the second period and led 22-8 at halftime.
THIRD STRAIGHT LOSS
After a 7-0 start to the season, the Cougars’ suffered a third straight loss and first in conference play.
AGWSR was down 24-22 at intermission and then outscored 29-18 in the second half as the Trojans pulled away and avenged a 57-47 loss at Ackley in the first meeting.
