Immigration issue addressed
ELDORA – “It is different when you do this in your home town,” Eldora’s Julie Duhn said of a small vigil she helped organize a weekend ago.
The gathering on the court house lawn was part of a massive day of protests around the nation, crowds across the country calling for more compassion for detainees who crossed into this county to escape conditions in their home lands. Protests erupted when border-crossing apprehensions suddenly had family members separated from their children – kids, it turned out, numbering in the thousands.(Read it all in the Tuesday Ledger)
