DES MOINES - Abby Veld couldn’t stop smiling the moment she walked back onto the Blue Oval on Thursday.
For the third year in a row, the AGWSR senior was competing at the Drake Relays, this time in both shot put and discus against the best high school athletes in Iowa.
“Every single thrower here is just amazing,” Veld said. “I love seeing them do such great things. It’s great to be back here with them for my last year.”
