ACKLEY – Two rivals clashed when South Hardin (4-2) traveled the short distance north to face AGWSR (1-3) on December 18. The Tigers led the whole game and withstood several Cougar charges to win 56-42.
South Hardin struck from the get-go, scoring nine points before AGWSR got on the board. The Cougars used a late surge in the opening quarter to slice that deficit to three points. Right before time expired Ben Macy slashed to the bucket and banked home his shot to close the gap and give the Cougars some momentum.
