ELDORA - South Hardin softball’s first NICL West doubleheader of the season last week came with two wins, but not without a fight to secure both from an improved Spartans squad.
Hits were hard to come by between the two rivaling programs in the first game. It wouldn’t be until the bottom of the third before junior Alli Sheldahl broke the ice, yet was thrown out stealing on the next play. The Tigers had their chances with runners on base, yet couldn’t come up the drive to send anyone home in the first five innings.
