GRUNDY CENTER - 2A eighth-ranked South Hardin volleyball opened conference play with its most difficult challenge yet this season in 2A third-ranked Grundy Center, finding themselves overpowered by the Spartans 25-12, 25-15, 25-16 for the Tigers’s first loss of the season.
The Tigers never looked in system throughout the first set and found themselves in a 13-6 hole early. Grundy Center’s efficient hitting and South Hardin’s errors kept the Tigers down through the first and second sets.
