ELDORA – South Hardin girls basketball nearly erased a sizable halftime deficit but couldn't get the game-winners to fall in a 42-40 defeat at home against Hudson last Tuesday, Dec. 14.
Alli Sheldahl led the Tigers with 11 points, adding five rebounds; Grace Eller contributed eight points and Rylee Nelson finished with four points and six rebounds.
Hudson led 22-13 at halftime. The Tigers got within three at 29-26 in the third quarter but the Pirates ended on a 5-0 run, and Hudson was similarly able to hold on against South Hardin's late flurry.
