LA PORTE CITY – Five South Hardin runners scored in the top 20 to lead Tiger girls cross country to a second-place finish in a 6-team meet at La Porte City on Thursday, Sept. 8.
The Tigers scored 52 points to finish behind the champion hosts from Union Community with 29 points.
Madison Stille was sixth in 22:56, Jaiden Roy 9th in 23:58, Mya Wilaby 10th in 23:59, Lydia Mueller 11th in 24:20 and Alyssa Stille 16th in 24:56.
The South Hardin boys placed fifth out of seven teams with 109 points. Vinton-Shellsburg won the boys team title with a near perfect score of 18.
