South Hardin baseball’s 2020 home opener against Aplington-Parkersburg, scheduled for Tuesday, June 16, was canceled after members of the Aplington-Parkersburg baseball team went into self-quarantine following exposure to people who later tested positive for COVID-19.
No Aplington-Parkersburg players had tested positive, but guidelines from the Iowa Department of Public Health state that even those who test negative who are “close contacts of a confirmed case should continue to self-quarantine until 14 days after their last exposure to the confirmed cases.”
