Taking a second shot to get it right

During the first week of school, only half the kids were in attendance on one day, then the other half the next. This was not going to work for me. The newspaper has a tradition of taking a photo of the kindergarteners on the first day of school, and another shot of kids raising a flag. Except not this year… COVID, you know. Either way, I needed all the kindergarteners together, not just half.
