ELDORA – Julie Roe had a lingering cough for a while, but it wasn’t keeping her awake at night or disrupting her daily activities. “I just had a cough for way too long,” she said, always attributing it to either the onset of a cold or allergies. “When I finally went in (to the doctor), I figured I’d had the cough for a couple of years.”
To her and her family’s surprise, Roe was diagnosed with Stage IV lung cancer. “It’s a silent killer,” she said. “It kills more people than breast, colon and prostate cancer put together.”
