A proposal to allow Hardin County’s email system to send out for mass distribution for non-county matters has drawn concerns.
The idea would have allowed a Go Fund Me link, for example, to be sent out by a county employee for a fellow employee.
Hardin County’s supervisors considered the change Monday morning.
In theory, this would allow information to be widely disseminated.
The sentiment itself might be good, but supervisors were concerned that the idea would allow potentially malicious links to be sent, even if inadvertently.
