ELDORA – South Hardin football struck first, but Grundy Center fought back with 27 consecutive second-half points and a 27-6 victory in a Week 1 contest at Tiger Field.
Untimely penalties kept South Hardin football from putting extra pressure on a vulnerable Grundy Center squad on Friday night. The Spartans were searching to replace several pieces from last year’s Class A state runner-up squad, including all-state captain quarterback Logan Knaack.
