Shining the light: Nicole Low awarded for giving back to the community

Nicole Low has been selected from nominees across the state as one of three winners of the Touchstone Energy Cooperatives of Iowa 2022 Shine The Light Contest. Each of the three winners will receive $2,000 for their local charities or organizations, and in Low’s case, this local organization is the Eldora Community Garden. Low has been the mastermind and orchestrator of the community garden since its origination four years ago. She hopes to use the $2,000 towards adding a firepit to the area, as there are always vines that won’t compost and need to be burned at the end of the year.
