Senior duo lead Comets to State runner-up finish

MARSHALLTOWN - “We’re two peas in a pod, when it comes to golf.”
Sydney Anderson and Lindsay Beeghly have been friends ever since fourth grade at BCLUW Elementary. Fast forward eight years and the duo led Comets girls golf to a State runner-up finish in Class 1A on Friday to put a bow on the program’s greatest finish ever.
“It feels great accomplishing what Sydyney and I have seen these last four years together,” Beeghly said. “We’ve had a better outcome each year at State the past three seasons and grown closer as a team. Everyone’s hard work showed today.”
