ELDORA – In a record-breaking voter turnout election, Hardin County rode a “red wave” on Election Day, when voters colored most of the ovals on their ballots in favor of Republican candidates.
Two local contested races – Hardin County Supervisor and Hardin County Auditor – both went to Republicans. BJ Hoffman retained his supervisor seat over contender and Democrat Don Primus, and Jolene Pieters upset incumbent and Independent Jessica Lara by winning the auditor’s post.
