The school bond vote failed to pass on Tuesday, Sept. 13, receiving 341 yes votes and 415 no votes for a total of 756 votes. Typically, about 50 percent of registered voters will come out for a bond election, but only 30 percent of registered voters participated. Superintendent Adam Zellmer and school board members were disappointed in the turn out and the results. In a July report Zellmer looked at, only five parents in the school’s first grade class were registered to vote.
