ELDORA - Mark Pearson began his postal career in July 1988, not really knowing that he would be delivering mail for over three decades. On Oct. 31, Pearson slipped his last letter through the mail slot, retiring from the United States Postal Service after 32 years.
“I graduated from UNI with a BA in Community Health Education in 1981 and worked as a group home counselor in Fort Dodge, and then in Des Moines for a number of years,” Pearson said. “I always loved the outdoors and wanted to find something that would give me that opportunity to be outside.”
