ELDORA – Mark Seward of New Providence, filed an objection with the Hardin County Auditor on Aug. 21, stating that the nomination process for the Democratic candidate for Hardin County Supervisor was not done properly. Seward’s objection states electronic meetings to elect candidates are not allowed, according to bylaws by the Iowa Secretary of State.
Steamboat Rock resident Don Primus was elected via a Zoom convention as Democratic candidate for supervisor earlier in August, and Seward claims the method of election used should disqualify Primus for being on the ballot.
