NEW PROVIDENCE - It all started in 1991… that’s when Jack Smith and his friend Paul Dunn began a mail order business selling in-line skates in Morro Bay, Calif.
“My partner Paul Dunn never read the newspaper and didn’t know what was going on,” Smith joked. “One day he walked in and showed me the business section of the San Francisco Chronicle. Someone had bought his old high school in Whitten (Iowa) and wanted to give it to someone to bring jobs to town.”
