NEW PROVIDENCE - The music of Elvis, Jerry Lee Lewis, Buddy Holly, and the Everly Brothers complemented the vintage cars along the street as New Providence stepped back in time. The idea of a 50s night, co-chaired by Ali Steiner and Sommer Mosch, working with the Hardin County Cruisers, was originally intended to be a fundraiser for the community’s summer Heritage Festival. The derecho storm, which hit the area and much of the state on the Monday before the planned event, caused the focus to change but not the fun.
