After getting the all-clear to resume playing baseball, the Hardin County American Legion Minutemen didn’t want to wait another minute.
The Legion’s 12-and-under and 13-and-under baseball teams played each other at Legion Field in Eldora on Monday, June 1 with a 12:01 a.m. first pitch.
“Everyone was tired at the start of the game, I saw the kids yawning a lot,” Huntley said. “It was past their bedtime, but other than that, it was ideal weather conditions, cool, calm and we had a great turnout considering it didn’t start until 12:01.”
