It was the first day of summer last Tuesday, and I watched the TV news that morning where the weather guy said sunset that night was something like 8:54 p.m. Really? That’s supposed to be the longest day of the year, so why does it always seem like sunset is around 9:30 or 10 on the Fourth of July when we’re sitting around waiting for the fireworks to begin? That’s certainly later than 8:54.
