Local museums seek volunteers

ELDORA – Becky Rose, of the CCC/POW Rec. Hall and Museum at the fairgrounds in Eldora, would like to see more people step up and volunteer at their local museums, and with June 7 – 13 being Iowa Museum Week, Rose said now would be a perfect opportunity.

“I think we hurt for volunteers in this part of the state,” Rose said, adding that big cities don’t seem to have a problem recruiting people to help; it’s mainly the small towns. “People need to know that museums matter in our communities.”
