Just another energy crisis

In the early 1970s I wasn’t old enough to drive, and the country was going through a major energy crisis. I had to do some research on this because I don’t remember a lot of the details from that time, but there were oil shortages then as well, due to a Saudi Arabia embargo on nations who supported Israel during the Yom Kippur War – a war happening between Israel and other Arab states. I just remember bits and pieces of this event – whatever I heard on the news - and words like Suez Canal and Sinai Peninsula were fairly popular at that time.
