Housing Committee eyes rehabilitation grant

ELDORA - The City of Eldora Housing Committee is looking into grant funding for Eldora. Grant funding could be used to aid housing in the city, members of the housing committee have heard. Rehabilitation of housing in the city would be the intended use. “We’re kind of under a time crunch,” said David Vanderwilt. “We’re probably not going to make this time around.” Putting together a bad proposal just to get something in by April 1 was unattractive Thursday as Housing Committee members met. Instead, the next funding cycle is what will be pursued.
