ELDORA - Not all of Santa’s elves are to be found at the North Pole.
Every Christmas for years, Hardin County has hosted a select few who play a surprisingly big role in Iowa’s holiday green-up. The evergreen season is back and so are the folks at Homestead Evergreens. Norm Houston heads the effort here. These days the workshop is bursting at the seams with evergreen boughs being integrated into holiday designs.
