An Arkansas man accused of beating a Union man to death with a crowbar is going for a “diminished responsibility” defense.
Following a 911 call in October of last year, law enforcement found Steven Reece lying in a bed with “severe head trauma,” according to a report from the Hardin County Sheriff’s Office.
Osborn Eugene Gavel, 23, of Mountain Home, Arkansas, allegedly armed himself with a crowbar and used to kill Reece after concealing a crowbar in his pants.
A trail date of April 25, 2023 was recently set for Gavel at 9 a.m. that day.
