The spring is going to be over when you read this, but it was pretty wet for us and we got a
badly needed recharge to our aquifers. The surface flooding is unfortunate but considering how
much rain we got it was pretty minimal in Hardin County. My concrete front porch with the
columns supporting a roof shrank away from the house by several inches and is now back to its
normal place. The wet spring was good for mushrooms and for grasses. So the morel
mushrooms were covered by grass the last two weeks of the picking season, which was quite
good.
